On March 1-3 our team traveled to Deep Run High School in Glen Allen to compete; there we won the Creativity Award!
The build team has been working restlessly to design and construct the prototype robot. Countless late nights are truly paying off!
The team has recently taken on a few new members and each is eager to learn! While the robot is in construction, our captain, Emily, is guiding Cameron through the 'brain' behind what makes the robot to run efficiently.
This morning, we woke up bright and early to tune in to the 2019 Kickoff: Destination Deep Space! Ms. Tereka Hawker allowed us to use the DCC RCATT building to view the kickoff and research the game manual.
On June 25th, we traveled to D.C. to attend the National Advocacy Conference. We were able to meet with our representatives and senators to lobby STEM education funding, more specifically, ESSA Title IV Part A. We also met Dean Kamen and Don Bossi. The six of us received a personal tour of the capitol building from Congressman Garret!
Pictures from the trivia night on 2/29 sponsored by the robotics club! It went really well! We had 17 teams. Congratulations to the winners, THE MENTORS! |
